Hi John —

I’m writing this from the lobby of my D.C. hotel, just having wrapped up over a dozen hill meetings over the past two days — and I have big news:

The dangerous anti-Boundary Waters language in the so-called “Big Beautiful Bill” has JUST been removed.

This provision would have opened the door to toxic copper mining in the watershed of America’s most visited Wilderness.

This win didn’t come easily. It took relentless pressure from public lands champions in Congress and the voices of thousands of supporters like you.

Tonight is a victory, but make no mistake, the threats in Washington to our public lands are far from over. People across the country who love our public lands must stay united and vigilant—now is the time to stand up for America’s wild places.

This fight is far from over. The threats in Washington to the Boundary Waters — and public lands across the country — are still very real. We need to stay loud, united, and ready.

Let’s keep fighting — together.

- Ingrid Lyons

P.S. To keep up the pressure in Washington, we need your help. Every gift made before midnight tomorrow will be matched dollar for dollar thanks to a generous supporter who believes in our federal advocacy work. Rush a matched gift now to protect the Boundary Waters! [[link removed]]
