Dear John xxxxxx,
I am happy to report that the Pennsylvania Call to Chivalry camp started – and Sam is here!
Here he is enjoying the games. So far, he and the other boys have taken part in foam sword battles, tomahawk throwing, and dodgeball.
They started their day by singing the Apostle’s Creed in Latin. After that, they processed to breakfast, singing a hymn called “We Want God.”
Later this week, Sam and his new friends will:
• Hold an all-night vigil at a Lourdes Grotto on campus.
• Join a public pro-life rosary rally.
• Listen to talks about Catholic saints and heroes.
• Visit the historic Gettysburg battlefield.
• Feast at a medieval banquet with roasted pig and New England lobster.
But here is what moved me the most:
This morning, I saw Sam in front of Our Lady at the Lourdes grotto, praying. In a world that encourages boys to abandon faith and virtue, it gave me so much hope.
None of this would be possible without the dedicated supporters who sponsored Sam and the others.
Your prayers helped us get here. And I’m still deeply grateful for your care and interest in the apostolate TFP Student Action does.
I hope to send a full-length report once the camp finishes next weekend. I can’t wait to share everything your prayers helped make possible.
With much gratitude,
Domenick Galatolo
