Last weekend I marched with our LGBTQ+ family in the Albuquerque Pride Parade.
We marched and celebrated love and our LGBTQ+ community.
This weekend we were surrounded by rainbow flags, love, and pride. Our LGBTQ+ community is vibrant and beautiful.
But right now, that community is under attack. Across the country, far-right extremists are pushing hateful policies to erase LGBTQ+ people from schools and public spaces.
And here in New Mexico, those same forces would love nothing more than to drag our state — and its vibrant people — backward.
We can’t let that happen.
As your next governor, I will fight fiercely to defend the dignity, rights, and safety of every LGBTQ+ person in New Mexico — in every classroom, courtroom, and public space.
Because love is not up for debate. Because safety should not depend on your gender or who you love. Because our state is stronger when every person can live fully and authentically.
This campaign is about lifting up every New Mexican, no matter how you identify or who you love. It’s about standing together when it matters most.
