Yesterday, we released our findings from our 2024 letter writing campaigns. These results told us two things:
We have strong evidence that letter writing continues to be worthy of investment, especially in low-information, low-turnout elections—and with innovative add-ons that make letters more resonant with voters.
There is a need and an opportunity to innovate between now and 2028, and by embracing what the Vote Forward community does best—developing and testing smart, creative voter contact strategies, powered by volunteers, and sharing our learnings—we can lead on the frontlines of what comes next.
With these new campaigns, we are aiming to address an important question: How might we build deeper relationships between volunteers and voters? For this campaign, we’ve designed a way for voters to respond to our letters and connect with our volunteers for the first time.
There are two ways you can get involved right now:
📝📬 Sign up to write letters. Starting June 9th, Vote Forward volunteers can adopt Pennsylvania voters, write letters, store them somewhere safe, and mail the letters during the mail window of September 2nd through October 28, 2025. Get started today.
☎️ Join our Voter Support Team. To support this new tactic, we need to grow our Voter Support Team, who will be specially trained to receive calls from the voters who receive our letters and provide non-partisan voting information and share their perspective on why voting matters. You can apply HERE to join the call team.
We know there’s too much at stake to keep doing the same old thing, and we’re so excited to be launching a new tactic to test and learn from.
