“You can’t legislate it away. You can’t take away positions.”

Accuracy in Media has released a new video revealing an administrator at Western Carolina University bragging about circumventing the Board of Governors’ ban on DEI-related work and spending.

Karen Price, Director of Institutional Assessment at WCU, told AIM’s hidden-camera investigator they are “still absolutely doing” all of the DEI work, and they are “trying to embed that kind of Diversity, Equity, Inclusiveness … really across every area.”

Price openly admits that WCU is circumventing the law.  She explains that, because of the “spirit of legislation in the current political climate,” the university simply changes titles and program names to fly under the radar.

“I don’t even mind pissing people off,” she added, when it comes to continuing to do DEI work.

Accuracy in Media visited WCU’s campus to confront administrators about our findings.  They didn’t have anything to say.

Karen Price is the latest university official caught on hidden camera bragging about how to circumvent the DEI ban.

This investigation follows similar AIM exposés at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and the University of North Carolina at Asheville -- both of which resulted in the termination of the administrators involved.

These administrators clearly believe they’re above the law, and unless the Board of Governors takes immediate action to hold them accountable, they may be correct.

Go to SaveNCSchools.com to send the Board of Governors a message and let them know the DEI rot is still alive and well in the UNC system.
