John
On Monday, I hosted a staff retreat for our campaign team. Thanks to technology, it was productive and fun, complete with digital breakout rooms! One of the questions I posed to our team was: Describe our campaign in three words.
The winning words were: strong, earnest, fearless.
This November, Americans will vote in the most critical presidential election in our nation’s history, and in the months ahead, those of us who flipped seats that Trump won will put every ounce of our energy into ensuring that we not only hold the House majority, but also restore decency to the White House.
These last few months have cast terrifying clarity on the cracks in our society.
Our country is facing a global health crisis; more than 115,000 Americans have died and each day more families feel the pain of loss. We need strong leadership, and we need earnest commitment to our health care system.
These last few weeks, the unjust deaths of Black Americans has laid bare the underlying systemic racism that our country needs to address. As we collectively work towards a more just and equitable future for Black Americans, we need sound leadership. In order to forge meaningful solutions we need leaders who will listen to those who are unheard, leaders who will build broad coalitions to bring people together, and leaders who are not afraid to challenge the way “things have always been done."
And lastly, as the economic downturn accompanying our global pandemic threatens many families with unemployment and not enough food on the table, urgent solutions are needed for these Americans who are struggling. Small businesses and families in Central Virginia need support that is timely and transparent, and we need leaders with the grit and persistence to fight for this aid.
This is the most important election of our lifetime, and while I know that I will put every ounce of my energy into this election, and my amazing team will join me in running a strong, earnest, and fearless campaign, we need your help.
Will you join us? Every time someone like you makes a grassroots donation, makes a phone call, or sends a volunteer text, it paves the way for a brighter future on Election Day.
John, with so much on the line this November, can you please consider a contribution to my re-election?
