John, peaceful dissent is one of our most fundamental rights. But right now, as thousands protest immigration raids in Los Angeles, Trump has deployed the National Guard against them – over local officials’ wishes. [1]
Sending the military after civilian protesters is a dangerous overreach that only escalates tensions and undermines trust – especially considering how Trump stood by during a real threat to our democracy on January 6th, 2021. [2]
This selective use of force isn’t about public safety; it’s about stifling dissent and sowing chaos for political gain. But we won’t back down. That’s why this Saturday, June 14th, we’re joining No Kings events across the country to protest Trump’s abuses.
If you’re planning to join a No Kings event this Saturday, make sure you’re ready to protest peacefully and safely by joining the Pre-Mobilization Call this Thursday at 8pm eastern time.
This training is timely to make sure you and your communities are safe and ready to participate with confidence. You’ll learn:
Whether you’ve attended dozens of protests or this weekend will be your first, this training will help you exercise your rights safely. RSVP now to join Thursday’s training and take the first step towards bold, strategic action >>

John,
Donald Trump thinks his rule is absolute – but in America, we aren’t ruled by a king.
Since his inauguration, Trump and his enablers have acted like they have absolute power. They're enriching themselves at our expense, all while slashing jobs and services for the rest of us.
Now, they want to spend millions of dollars stroking Trump’s ego with a military parade for his birthday in Washington, D.C. next Saturday. He’s trying to turn Flag Day – a celebration of our flag, our country, and the people who make it what it is – into a celebration of one man: himself.
We’re not letting it happen. On June 14th, we’ll gather at hundreds of events across the country to remind Trump and his enablers: America has No King! Find an event near you >>
Donald Trump’s vision of America isn’t the same as ours. Making life more expensive. Disappearing our neighbors. Throwing people off their healthcare. Attacking civil rights. Abandoning veterans. Silencing free speech. And, putting billionaires before everybody else.
It’s just plain wrong, and it’s time to say so. Whether you've been in the fight for years or you're just fed up and ready to take action – this moment is for you.
So while Trump throws his birthday party in D.C., we’re taking action everywhere else and telling the true story of America that day: people coming together in communities across the country to reject Trump’s cruelty and corruption.
We’re building a massive, visible, national rejection of this crisis. On June 14th, Common Cause and partners are hosting events across the country, in major cities and small towns in every state.
John, June 14th shouldn’t be about Donald Trump – it should be about ALL of us. Let’s show up in community to tell Trump that enough is enough. Find an event near you >>
Thanks for all you do,
The team at Common Cause
P.S. If there’s no event near you, we’d love for you to host your own No Kings event for your area!
