Working Families Party

John,

The New York City Mayoral primary is just 14 days away, and it’s one of the most important elections of the year.

On one side of this ranked-choice race, we have an incredible slate of candidates, led by Assemblymember Zohran Mamdani, who we’ve endorsed as our #1 choice1 — and who was also just endorsed by AOC.2

On the other side, we have disgraced ex-Governor Andrew Cuomo — a man with at least 13 sexual harassment allegations against him;3 who was caught under-reporting the number of nursing home deaths during the COVID pandemic;4 and who has been accepting campaign contributions from the very same billionaires that elected Donald Trump.5

Putting Andrew Cuomo back into office would be an unmitigated disaster for New Yorkers. And since this is a ranked-choice election, the best way to BLOCK his attempted return is encouraging voters to rank the New York Working Families Party’s ENTIRE slate of candidates — and to leave Cuomo off their ballots.

We’re beyond proud to endorse Zohran and our entire slate of candidates. That’s why we’re asking you today to make a donation to the New York Working Families Party so we can continue to organize on the ground over these final critical days to help win this race and elect candidates who will stand up for all of us.

This is our opportunity to score a massive win and send a message NATIONALLY that voters are sick and tired of ‘Democrats’ who fund their campaigns from big corporations and Trump donors.

Zohran — like the others on our slate — is committed to putting working families first. His platform includes pillars like:

  • A city-wide rent freeze that would prevent landlords and investment firms from jacking up rent prices, year after year.
  • Fast and free bus services.
  • Universal childcare.
  • And tripling the city’s supply of permanently affordable, union-built, rent-stabilized housing.

Electing Zohran and blocking Cuomo is our top priority in this race. And it’s how we’ll build a government that truly works for the many, not just a small handful of corporations, Trump donors, and real estate developers.

In 14 days, the eyes of the entire country will be on the results in New York. So please, pitch in now to help power WFP’s organizing work to elect a working families champion the next Mayor of NYC.

In solidarity,

Team WFP
