What we’ve seen over the past few days in Los Angeles is deeply alarming.

President Trump’s decision to deploy Marines is a dangerous misuse of our military and a blatant abuse of presidential power.

Let me be clear: this isn’t about protecting public safety. The president is escalating tensions to justify further crackdowns and undermine civil liberties.

This cannot stand.

The right to peacefully protest is fundamental to our democracy — and it must be protected.
