John,
Andy has never wavered in his commitment to Kentucky’s families.
He's always believed that every child deserves a strong start — that's why he’s fighting to make universal pre-K for all four-year-olds a reality in the Commonwealth.
Here’s why this matters:
➡️ 53.8% of Kentucky children aren’t ready when they start kindergarten. That gap makes it harder for them to succeed.
➡️ 79 of Kentucky’s 120 counties — nearly two-thirds — don’t have enough child care options to meet the needs of working families. That means parents are having to choose between providing for their family or staying home.
➡️ Pre-K strengthens our economy. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Pre-K for All could add up to 70,000 workers to Kentucky’s labor force.
➡️ It puts money back in parents’ pockets. A long-term Yale study shows KY families with kids in pre-K earn nearly $9,000 more per year, totaling over $50,000 by the time their kids reach elementary school.
➡️ Every $1 we invest in pre-K returns $10 in economic activity that cycles through our communities.
Andy’s work has always been about more than politics — it’s about people. He’s raised teacher pay, expanded healthcare, created more than 60,000 good jobs, and delivered record-breaking economic growth.
Now, he’s fighting to ensure that where a child is born doesn’t determine how far they can go. Pre-K for All is about giving every Kentucky child the tools to thrive — and giving every Kentucky parent a fair shot at success. Let’s keep Kentucky moving forward.
