John,

Donald Trump is telling Senate Republicans that if they don’t support his latest reconciliation bill, they’re siding with Democrats — as if doing the right thing for the country is some kind of betrayal.

When did it become unacceptable to think for yourself? When did bipartisanship become a dirty word?

Chris is standing firmly against this bill because it’s bad policy. It balloons the deficit, slashes Medicaid, reduces access to SNAP benefits, and hands out massive tax breaks to the wealthiest Americans. At the same time, the bill will catastrophically impact hospitals by forcing establishments to reduce services, reduce staff, and ultimately make patients wait longer for access to the emergency room.

Supporting this bill is reckless, it’s harmful, and it’s wrong.

Senate Republicans know this, but Trump is threatening, bullying, and steamrolling anyone who doesn’t fall in line. That’s a litmus test of loyalty to one man — at the expense of the entire country.

We need to speak up now. Add your name to demand the GOP stand up to Trump and reject this destructive bill.
