john, remember when Kim warned us that our democracy was on the line? This is exactly why she sounded the alarm:

Republicans in Congress aren’t working to lower costs, protect healthcare, or defend our communities. Instead, they’re floating a constitutional amendment to let Donald Trump run for a third term as president.

Let that sink in…

GOP members are actively working to dismantle the very guardrails our Constitution put in place to protect democracy from turning into a monarchy. The 22nd Amendment exists for a reason. It stops any one person—no matter how powerful or popular—from consolidating power indefinitely.

It's a check on authoritarianism, and it's one of the foundations of our democratic system. But clearly, that’s not stopping the far-right from trying to rewrite the rules to serve Trump. This isn’t just wrong—it’s BEYOND dangerous. And we have to say so.
