James, we have crossed into uncharted authoritarian territory.
Deploying 700 Marines and 4,000 National Guard troops against protesters in Los Angeles is an intentional attempt to shred the constitutional safeguards meant to prevent tyranny from ever taking root.

This goes far beyond Los Angeles. Experts are already sounding the alarm that Trump has authorized preemptive deployments nationwide regardless of whether protests involve violence *or are even happening yet.*
The line between military and civilian government is one of the most critical protections for democracy. We must immediately urge our members of Congress to use every power at their disposal to stop Trump from deploying troops against our communities!
This is not law and order—it's tyranny. Right now it's Los Angeles—tomorrow it could be Chicago, Miami, or Minneapolis.
When power is concentrated in the hands of a corrupt few, and dissent is met with armed repression, democracy itself is under siege. We must call this what it is: a threat to the republic.

Active duty soldiers are trained to fight and destroy an enemy, not to de-escalate civil unrest, and that's precisely the point. Trump is intentionally trying to inflame the situation to create a politically winning "law and order" media cycle, and he doesn't care how many people are hurt or how much damage he does to the Constitution in the process.
Congress must fulfill its constitutional responsibility to block this authoritarian escalation. Our elected representatives have the authority, obligation, and moral imperative to act immediately, using every lever available—from asserting congressional authority over troop deployments to refusing funding—to prevent President Trump from using soldiers as his own personal police force.
Add your name to call on Congress NOW to stand up for democracy and stop Trump's military crackdown. No Troops in Our Streets!
History will remember moments like these. It will record who stood firmly against military threats intended to silence dissent, and who stayed silent as authoritarianism attempted to rise in America.
Our Revolution members have always been on the right side of history, organizing protests, taking to the streets, mobilizing calls, and standing up courageously to say enough is enough. We won't back down now, or ever.
When we organize, we win.
