Friend,
On this day in 1963, the Equal Pay Act was signed into law, promising to end pay discrimination based on gender. But over 60 years later, that promise still hasn’t been fulfilled.
In 2025, women are still paid just 82 cents for every dollar earned by men — and the gap is even wider for women of color.

Congresswoman Lori Trahan has always made equal pay one of her top priorities since she was first elected in 2018. She proudly voted for the Paycheck Fairness Act, backed efforts to raise the federal minimum wage, and consistently stood up to special interests who profit off wage inequality.
But with Trump back in the White House and MAGA Republicans holding power in Congress, we must fight even harder to achieve wage parity. Friend, it’s time to finish what the Equal Pay Act started. Will you add your name to our petition below and join us in raising our voices to demand equal pay for equal work? [[link removed]]
