And How You're Winning the Fight Against Trumpism

Today is Election Day.

There are three different Special Elections for the Oklahoma House of Representatives today.

Voters in HD 71 in Tulsa, HD 74 in Owasso, and HD 97 in OKC all have fierce Democratic candidates that you can send to the State Capitol to build a better Oklahoma!

You can check and see if you live in these districts or if there's another local special election occurring near you by checking for a sample ballot on the Voter Portal. [[link removed]]
* Amanda Clinton is running in HD 71 in Tulsa to invest in and serve Oklahoma's communities instead of hoarding resources for another tax cut. She's working for a state government that builds a better Oklahoma.
* You might have already seen us talking about Amy Hossain in HD 74. Amy is running to bring fresh leadership, progressive values, and real change to the state. This seat is our pick-up opportunity, and we've been working hard to turn out voters in Owasso!

And the HD 97 race in Oklahoma city has two strong Democratic candidates as well!
* Judge Aletia Timmons is running to bring her legal expertise and passion for justice to the State House.
* JeKia Harrison is working to serve her district as a bold leader offering new ideas and perspectives.

I hope you will check to see if there is a local election happening near you. We know in Oklahoma that once folks have a Democratic elected official, voters retain those Democrats.

But I also know that the Administration pivots to new crises to hide their failures. You might have missed it, but Kilmar Abrego Garcia is back in the United States after the White House said he would never return.

He's been charged with a variety of crimes, but now he'll be tried in a court of law instead of whisked away to a foreign prison.

Democrats recognized that the Administration's ability to disappear this man was a threat to the rights of every single person in the country . And we kept the pressure up.

Your voice, your standing in community is how we can beat Trump's rightwing authoritarianism.
