The United States Postal Service connects Americans from coast to coast,
reliably delivering 48% of the world’s mail every year.

Our postal workers keep America running — all while ensuring prescriptions
for seniors, Social Security checks, tax returns, mail ballots, and census
forms reach the right mailboxes.

But in recent years, crimes against USPS employees have exploded.

In 2023 alone, postal workers reported approximately 600 robberies (a
nearly 700% increase from 2019), 400 assaults, and 200 burglaries
targeting USPS facilities.

I’m stepping up to ensure the hardworking men and women of the United
States Postal Service are safe on the job. That’s why I’m co-sponsoring
the Protect Our Letter Carriers Act in the Senate.

What’s in the Protect Our Letter Carriers Act?

[1]🔐 $7 billion investment in security upgrades

[2]🔑 New electronic keys to replace easily-stolen physical keys

[3]🗳️ Secure collection boxes

[4]💪 Special prosecutors to handle crimes against postal workers

[5]📈 Increased penalties for crimes against postal workers

Friend, passing this bill is a common-sense way to keep our
fellow Americans safe. But we need to show our strength in numbers.
