Dr. Alma Arredondo-Lynch -- a perennial candidate for the Republican primary
nomination here in TX-23 -- best known as a far-right mouthpiece for racism,
homophobia, xenophobia, and Islamophobia, endorsed Tony Gonzales.

With these kinds of backers, it’s evident that Gina’s opponents envision a

Dr. Alma is known locally for her deeply Islamaphobic remarks that were
publicly condemned by a member of the San Antonio Council. She regularly shares
racist memes on social media, is involved in various conspiracy theories, and
has even directed homophobic insults at Gina. She has appeared in photos
alongside hate groups like the Proud Boys, a neo-fascist organization that bans
women from membership and engages in political violence.

Dr. Alma represents the worst of far-right, fringe politics. She doesn't
represent South and West Texans, and we can't afford to send someone to
Congress who doesn't understand that. Texas' 23rd Congressional District
deserves a representative who will fight against racism and hate speech, not
embrace it for a press opportunity like Tony Gonzales.

With these kinds of figures endorsing our opponents, it’s easy to see that if
elected, they won't do right for TX-23. We don’t need more of the same
