Hi, John. I’m Hannah Pingree.

I’m running for governor because Maine is worth fighting for, and I believe our state deserves leadership that will bring us together and deliver real results. If you’re with me, will you chip in $7 to help launch our campaign?

As the mom of two middle school kids, I’m laser-focused on the future we’re building — and ready to take on the real threats we’re up against. From the rising cost of living, especially housing and healthcare, to Donald Trump’s attacks on democracy, the stakes couldn’t be higher. And now, Republicans in Washington are pushing to gut Medicaid so they can hand out even more tax breaks to billionaires.

We need a governor ready for that fight and that’s why experience matters. I’ve led at every level — as Maine’s Speaker of the House, a small business owner, and chair of my local school board. As director of Governor Mills’ Office of the Future, I led efforts on climate action, housing, workforce training, and rebuilding Maine’s economy after the pandemic and devastating storms.

I’ve never backed down from a tough fight. In the state legislature, I took on the chemical industry to remove toxins from children’s products, worked in Augusta to lower healthcare costs, and passed the first marriage equality bill in Maine.

Those accomplishments took bringing people together — even when they disagreed – to make progress on the tough problems we face. That’s what real leadership looks like.
