Congress must act now to stop it — because everything else depends on it: energy, regulation, health care, and fiscal growth. Failure means higher taxes and serious economic fallout in 2026.

To get more members of Congress on board, we’re sharing stories from families and business owners about how the tax cuts have been a game changer by giving Americans like you extra money to pursue your version of the American Dream.

On the spending cut: This won’t fix our $36 trillion debt overnight. But it does mark a cultural shift toward holding Congress accountable for spending within a budget.

‌

With a razor-thin majority in Congress, we need to tell lawmakers that Americans are behind them and they need to get the “big, beautiful bill” onto the president’s desk.

AFP applauds a major step toward restoring fiscal sanity in Washington: President Trump’s proposed $9.4 billion rescissions package.

This cost-cutting measure promises meaningful savings for taxpayers — and AFP is urging Congress to pass it without delay.

Brent Gardner, AFP’s chief government affairs officer, noted:

“We all know our debt crisis wasn’t created overnight, and it isn’t going to be solved with one bill. Congress must quickly pass this package to ensure these cost savings are permanently realized for the taxpayer.

Hopefully, this will be the first of many serious steps to rein in waste, fraud, and abuse and change the culture in Washington to one of fiscal responsibility and taxpayer stewardship.”
