Let’s face it, ICE is lazy.

That’s why they’re going after [line cooks]([link removed]), [moms]([link removed]) and [first-graders]([link removed]). These are not criminal elements in the United States, these are the people who have the least power and least protection. ICE is picking on the lowest hanging fruit so they can fulfill Trump campaign promises to deport millions.

But things started to change this week as people in Los Angeles stood up for their fellow neighbors and drove ICE from a neighborhood. Protests ensued as people learned of imminent ICE raids on various local businesses.

Trump has escalated the situation for reputational gain, claiming the National Guard brought peace to LA before they were even mobilized to the city, then doubling down and prepared to send Marines into the city against mostly peaceful protesters.

It’s time for you to speak up. Trump is deploying the military against American citizens to prevent you from exercising your constitutional right to peacefully protest against his unpopular policies. Trump’s efforts to silence dissent won’t end in LA, they’ll move on to _your_ state, targeting _you_ and your neighbors so you can’t speak up.

Call your Governors and tell them to deny any requests to deploy the National Guard in your state. Tell your reps to do something about these illegal deployments against peaceful protestors, before even more people are hurt or killed by the government.
