Pride celebrations have a problem. They’re calling up corporations that supported them in the past and many of those corporations are telling them nope, not this year.
Funding for big-city Pride events is down—and funding for smaller events is way down, often as much as 90%.
“We will remember who stood by us and who didn’t,” Suzanne Ford, executive director of San Francisco Pride, told NBC News. “When it was politically popular, they were lined up.”

We’re different.
We don’t put away the Pride flag when the wind shifts. We’re standing strong for Pride this year—and every year. We have supported LGBTQ+ equality since our founding in 1985 and will continue to do so..
To date, we’ve donated over $15 million to nonprofit groups working for equality and civil rights. Groups like the National LGBTQ Task Force, the Transgender Law Center, Family Equality and the ACLU.
We’ll donate more in the years ahead—and you can be a part of it. Join us and you’ll get all you want from your mobile service: money-saving data plans, great deals on new devices and superfast coverage on the nation’s largest 5G network.
And you’ll get much more. You’ll get an easy, effective way to make a difference for the causes you care about. Causes like LGBTQ+ rights, climate action and an economy that works for everyone.
