Dear A.,

President Trump said over the weekend that Iran "won't be enriching" as part of any nuclear deal with the United States. "If they enrich, then we're going to have to do it the other way, and I don't really want to have to do it the other way, but we're going to have no choice."

Following Trump's comment, Senator Tom Cotton

said :

"President Trump is absolutely right.

"The only reason Iran would enrich uranium is to build a nuclear weapon. It’s not needed for civilian nuclear use.

"And Iran is developing missiles that could hit America.

"We must never allow this terrorist regime to get a nuclear weapon."

The statement also comes following reports Iran rejected the U.S. nuclear proposal, but is expected to come back with a

counteroffer . A sixth round of talks is

expected to take place soon.

In an interview on Iranian state media, the country's parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said that "the U.S. plan does not even mention the lifting of sanctions" and that "the delusional U.S. president should know better and change his approach if he is really looking for a deal."

Meanwhile, recent reports from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) stated that Iran has carried out secret nuclear weaponization activities in the past and has continued to increase its stockpile of 60% enriched uranium to over 400 kilograms.

Iran is the only non-nuclear-weapon state in the world to enrich uranium to this level, and that quantity is enough for nine nuclear weapons if enriched further.

The IAEA's Board of Governors began meeting in Vienna today, where Iran's nuclear program is a key topic of discussion.

Also today, President Trump

spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu.

Any nuclear agreement with Iran must achieve the Trump administration’s stated goal of verifiably and permanently dismantling Iran’s nuclear program, including ending its uranium enrichment capability.

To be effective, these talks must be time-bound and coupled with continued maximum economic pressure and a credible threat of military force.

NEW AIPAC MEMO
Why Iran’s Nuclear Program Must Be Dismantled

A nuclear-capable Iran is a dangerous threat to America and our allies around the world, and an existential threat to Israel. The U.S. must ensure Iran’s nuclear program is dismantled for good.

Permanently and verifiably dismantling Iran’s nuclear program – including its uranium enrichment infrastructure – is the only way to ensure Tehran can never build a nuclear weapon.

Thai hostage's body recovered from Gaza

Israel announced on Saturday that its troops

recovered the body of Nattapong Pinta, a Thai national who was kidnapped on October 7 and held hostage in Gaza.

The IDF said it believed that Pinta, kidnapped alive from Kibbutz Nir Oz where he worked as a farmer, was murdered in captivity during the first few months of the war.

His body was located and recovered thanks to intelligence derived from an interrogation of a terrorist arrested by the IDF in Gaza.

There are now 55 hostages remaining in Gaza, of the 251 kidnapped on October 7. Only 20 of them are believed to still be alive.

The United States must increase the pressure on Hamas and its sponsors in Qatar, Turkey and Iran to accept the U.S. proposal to release hostages.

Humanitarian efforts in Gaza continue, anti-Israel activists' "selfie yacht" intercepted

The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation announced that it has distributed about 11.5 million meals in its first two weeks of operations, including over 1.3 million today alone.

GHF is also working to open additional distribution sites, including sites in northern Gaza.

In a statement, GHF warned that Hamas is threatening its operations and urged the international community to condemn Hamas' actions:

"Hamas issued explicit threats against GHF’s American and Palestinian workers who deliver humanitarian aid and the Gazan people who accept that aid. At the same time, Hamas endorsed the United Nations, an organization it has routinely stolen from, as the only legitimate providers of aid.

"The contrast is telling. After delivering over 10 million meals, GHF has built a system that delivers aid directly to the people who actually need it. Despite these threats, we will continue to deliver urgent humanitarian relief with resolve and purpose.

"The international community, including the United Nations and other aid groups, must immediately and unequivocally condemn Hamas’s threats against both aid workers and civilians. There is no justification for targeting aid workers or the civilians they serve, or for silence from those who know better. Hamas must understand its actions are unacceptable, and the world is watching."

Meanwhile, a boat of anti-Israel activists, including climate activist Greta Thunberg, that attempted to break Israel’s naval blockade of Gaza was

intercepted by the Israeli Navy Sunday night and towed to Ashdod port.

"The ‘Selfie Yacht’ docked at Ashdod Port a short while ago. The passengers are currently undergoing medical examinations to ensure they are in good health," the Israeli Foreign Ministry said. The detained activists will be handed over to the police to be deported.

IDF warns Yemeni civilians to evacuate Houthi-controlled ports

The IDF
[link removed]
warned Yemeni civilians to evacuate three Houthi-controlled ports in Yemen — Ras Isa, Hodeidah, and Salif on the western coast — ahead of possible airstrikes.

"Due to the Houthi terror regime's use of ports for its terror activities, we urge all those present at these ports to evacuate and stay away from them for your own safety until further notice," the IDF's Arabic spokesman said.

The Houthis have launched more than 50 ballistic missiles and drones at Israel since mid-March.

Documents recovered in Gaza further expose Qatar's support for Hamas

Israeli media Sunday night

published documents taken by the IDF in Gaza that show Qatar’s collaboration and support for Hamas over the course of many years, including efforts to undermine the Abraham Accords and boost Turkey and Iran.

In May 2021, following fighting between Israel and Hamas, now-deceased Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh reportedly told the leader of Hamas in Gaza, Yahya Sinwar, that Qatari emir Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani "agreed in principle to supply the resistance discreetly, but he does not want anyone in the world to know. Until now, $11 million has been raised from the emir for the leadership of the movement."

In a separate incident in 2020, as the United States was engaged in efforts to forge the Abraham Accords, another senior Hamas leader, Khaled Mashaal, told the Qatari emir: "We must work together to oppose the Deal of the Century and eliminate it."
