As your Attorney General, I joined a coalition of 18 states suing the Trump administration seeking to illegally halt offshore wind development across the country.

Offshore wind isn’t just a pillar of our clean energy strategy—it’s an economic engine for Maryland.

Our state has invested years in building a thriving offshore wind industry. Those efforts are projected to generate over $6 billion in economic benefits and create more than 13,000 good-paying jobs, particularly in coastal communities that need these opportunities most.

We’re talking about careers in manufacturing, shipping, construction, and clean tech—jobs that can’t be outsourced. And at the same time, we’re reducing our dependence on fossil fuels and helping to protect Marylanders from the rising costs and dangers of climate change.
