Dear NHYD member,
We are looking forward to our special election and organizing meeting tomorrow night, Thursday June 18th from 5:30-8:30pm, and we would like to share a few things in advance with you. Please read this email carefully and note the actions below.
As it currently stands, this will be the largest and first virtual, NHYD election in our history.
Due to our current digital reality, this special election was moved online to a Zoom meeting. Per NHYD by-laws, our elections have always been in person and open for a set, short period of time. We all understand that this pandemic has created many complications and therefore have extended our online voting for a longer period of time.
We have worked to adjust to this pandemic as best possible, so please read the following instructions carefully for how to register for this election and cast your ballot.
- Registration for this vote cuts off at noon on Thursday (tomorrow). If you have not yet, use this form to register.
- Shortly after 2pm on Thursday, your unique Zoom link will be auto-sent to your email (the same email you used to RSVP). Please be on the lookout.
- You have to log in to the Zoom meeting tomorrow night to vote. At the Zoom meeting, you will hear from the candidates, and then voting will be open and ballots will be provided.
- You can leave the meeting after you vote, or stay for an NHYD organizing meeting overview.
- Voting will not conclude until 8:30pm, and you MUST log into the Zoom meeting to cast your vote. Therefore, you can vote immediately following candidates’ presentations until 8:30pm, but you must enter the Zoom meeting at some point during the voting window to cast your vote.
- Voting will end promptly at 8:30pm on Thursday 6/18. Votes submitted after 8:31pm will not be counted.
- Please use video for the call, do not just call in. You will need to see the Zoom screen and chat in order to get your ballot. If that is an issue, please let Corey know.
- Your Zoom meeting invite is personalized. This is YOUR Zoom invite and cannot be shared. If you share or forward your invite, your vote will not be counted. If you do not receive your personalized Zoom invite by 4pm on Thursday, please reach out to Gene.
Due to the large amount of interest in this election, you can submit questions for the candidates in advance to Kayla. Three questions will be chosen for the candidates to respond to during the Zoom meeting.
We encourage you to reach out directly to the candidates with specific questions, and their contact information can be found below.
