This is a moment of truth.

On Friday, ICE agents in military gear stormed Los Angeles worksites and neighborhoods. Community members across the city showed out to observe these raids, and SEIU California President David Huerta was arrested as he demonstrated. He was assaulted by law enforcement, hospitalized, and remains in federal custody.

Now, the Trump administration has escalated the situation by federalizing the National Guard and even mobilizing the Marines on American soil. Against workers. Against protestors. Against our own people.

This is an attack on our communities, our Constitution, and our right to dissent.

We must speak out. This evening, David Huerta will have his hearing in court, and we are calling for his immediate release.
