MPs vote to approve cruel and extreme NI abortion regulations

Dear friend of Precious Life,

i just wanted to write to you in relation to the outcome of tonight’s vote in the House of Commons on the Northern Ireland abortion regulations.

in a tragic and outrageous betrayal of the democratic will of the majority of people and their MLAs in Northern Ireland, MPs tonight voted to approve the NI abortion regulations.

The vote comes following sustained and large-scale public opposition to this horrific abortion regime. We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who wrote to their MPs and have spoken out boldly against these regulations at every stage. We had a tremendous response from so many of you across Northern Ireland and beyond.

Although this is a devastating result, rest assured that you did all you could to protect defenceless unborn children and to speak out against the greatest human rights injustice in the world.

I want to assure you that the battle is not over despite this outcome. We will continue to fight this barbaric and inhumane law until we see it overturned. As long as a single precious unborn baby’s life is in danger then our work is not finished.

Precious Life will never stop defending the unborn babies of Northern Ireland. We will continue our campaign with accelerated energy and urgency to repeal Section 9 to make abortion not only illegal but unthinkable in Northern Ireland. Thank you so much for your continued kindness and support.
