First, let's start with the obvious: Donald Trump cares only about himself and his own power. He does not care about: civil rights, checks and balances, law and order, freedom and liberty, American democracy, or due process.

Even MAGA can't argue with that statement. To them, he may be a "bully" or a fascist, but he's their fascist and they approve of him going to war with "the libs." 

With that said, it isn't a leap to think that what Trump is doing in Los Angeles is creating the pretext to use the military in blue cities and states to shut down democratic protest and dissent, seize more power and control over our lives, and scare us into silence. 

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has even said that he has readied 500 U.S. Marines to be deployed in LA—once Trump declares an "insurrection" to get around laws that prohibit military operations on U.S. soil against American citizens.

We simply cannot let this happen—not without a fight and without showing the rest of America what is going on and what is at stake.

Now Trump and his loyalists are openly threatening to "arrest" the Democratic Governor of California because he is fighting back and isn't backing down.

We have to show that what is happening in LA is not exclusive to LA or California—it can happen anywhere, at any time, for any reason.

We stand in solidarity with the peaceful protesters, the community, and the advocates and elected officials who are pushing back and standing up for all of our rights. 

It's only a matter of time until Trump's illegal power grab affects Colorado communities, and the rights of all of us everywhere in this country.
