Friend, you’ve probably heard other campaigns talk about the FEC deadline coming up at the end of the month.
I want to pull back the curtain for you and explain what that really means.
The FEC is the Federal Election Commission. At the end of this month, we are legally required to submit all of our fundraising data to the FEC. That includes all the money we’ve raised and spent so far in 2025.
They then publish those numbers online for all to see — you, us, the press, PACs, campaigns — anyone. And trust us, when those numbers drop a lot of people will be watching.
That’s because the amount of money you raise, and more importantly, the number of donors you have, sends a message about the size and strength of your operation.
With the GOP coming off a victory in last year’s election, they’re going to be looking to see if progressive groups like ours still have the energy and enthusiasm to fight back and compete in the midterms.
So when we make a big fuss about our FEC deadline at the end of the month, it’s because this is our chance to show we’re prepared to not only stand up to Trump’s administration but elect the leaders who will block his far-right agenda.
