John,
We’re sensing a theme…
Last month, a former reality TV couple convicted of bank fraud and tax evasion walked free after receiving a pardon from Donald Trump. They didn’t serve their full sentences or express remorse — but they did have one thing to say: They praised Donald Trump.
And Trump’s pardons weren’t limited to his reality star pals, either. Soon, more came rolling in.
There’s the former Republican congressman convicted of tax fraud. Then a Virginia sheriff caught up in a fraud and bribery scheme. Then the leader of a drug trafficking operation. And then, a CEO found guilty of wire fraud. (His mother made a $1 million donation to Donald Trump not long before his name appeared on the pardon list.)
At this point, the pattern is hard to ignore. Donald Trump is sending a clear and unmistakable message: If you’re loyal — or useful — to me, you’ll be protected. This is unacceptable.
If we want accountability, if we want any real check on this kind of power, we need to flip the Senate in 2026. Chris is working hard to support Democrats across the country who can help make that happen — but he needs your help. If you believe public office should serve the people, not shield the powerful, we're asking you to chip in today >>
