Folks, it’s Lisa Blunt Rochester.

My great-great-great-grandfather was enslaved. After the Civil War, he signed a document finally granting him the right to vote. He signed with an "X" because he had never been taught to read or write.

I keep his struggles in mind as I serve the people of Delaware. My ancestors fought hard for their rights – and now I’m fighting hard in the Senate to ensure those rights are protected.

I’m committed to defending voting rights, Medicaid and healthcare access, and other fundamental freedoms from the threat of far-right extremists. I won’t let Republicans in the Senate roll back our hard-earned rights.
