This fight is personal to me, John.

I love New York City — just as I’m sure you do. My home is here. I raised my kids here and sent them to NYC public schools. And I’ve spent my career working to make this a city where everyone can thrive.

For years, I ran housing organizations like the Fifth Avenue Committee and the Pratt Center for Community Development to build thousands of affordable homes for NYC residents. I built and preserved 50,000 affordable housing units, spending three decades with my sleeves rolled up to ensure all New Yorkers have a stable, affordable place to live.

Then, I was elected to the City Council 16 years ago — getting to work right away to pass legislation that makes a real difference in people’s lives. I’m especially proud of the first-in-the-nation legislation I passed to guarantee delivery workers a minimum wage.

Right now I’m the New York City Comptroller, the City’s watchdog. I’ve saved taxpayers $2 billion, returned $8 million in stolen wages to workers, and divested the City pension fund from fossil fuels. I sounded the alarm and fought back when Donald Trump and Elon Musk stole $80 million from the City’s bank account.

Now, I’m running for Mayor to make our City safer, more affordable, and better-run. We’ll build 500,000 affordable housing units and freeze the rent, guarantee universal child care and afterschool, and end street and subway homelessness. We’ll be a city that lives up to its Democratic values — and actually delivers for its people.

There are mere days until Election Day, and our campaign continues gaining momentum. We need to seize this moment — but I need your help. Because the Campaign Finance Board (CFB) withholds matching funds until the eleventh hour, we urgently need a little more hard cash through the door.

With the June 9 CFB disclosure deadline at midnight, I’m asking:

If you’re ready for New York City to have a Mayor who leads with honesty, integrity, and a determination to do what’s right for the people of NYC, please chip in before midnight. [[link removed]]
