Dear John,
We’re excited to share big news: Eliseo (EJ) Juárez has been named the new executive director of State Innovation Exchange (SiX)!
EJ brings two decades of experience advancing racial, gender, social, and economic justice across philanthropy, nonprofit leadership, advocacy, and government. From building multimillion-dollar equity and environmental justice programs in Washington state government to restructuring and revitalizing national advocacy organizations, EJ is a systems architect and trusted leader who shows up with clarity, transparency, and a deep commitment to power-sharing.
Throughout his career, EJ has built diverse coalitions, strengthened progressive infrastructure, and led through both times of growth and moments of urgent change. At a time when state governments are at the frontlines of both existential threats and transformative opportunities, his appointment marks an exciting new era for SiX as we scale our impact to support bold, people-centered governing power governance at the state level.
We are thrilled to welcome EJ Juárez to the SiX team! We look forward to the transformative work ahead.
If you’re inspired by our vision for progressive power in the states, please consider making a donation to support our work.
In shared power,
Sarah Johnson and Liz Dupee
