Dear John,
The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) just crossed another line.
They've officially labeled Focus on the Family -- an organization closely tied to FRC's founding -- as a hate group.
Why? Because Focus on the Family defends the sanctity of life, upholds God's design for sexuality, and proclaims biblical truth without apology.
The SPLC's so-called "hate map" already includes Family Research Council, Alliance Defending Freedom, and most-recently Turning Point USA. Now they've added Focus on the Family, accusing them of "promoting anti-trans pseudoscience" and "demonizing LGBTQ+ people."
This isn't about "hate" -- it's about silencing biblical truth and targeting Christians who stand firm in their faith.
This battle is not new for us. Fifteen years ago, the SPLC placed FRC on its dangerous "hate map." That designation inspired a terrorist attack on our headquarters.
The very next day, we stood in front of our building and declared that we would not be silenced.
Now, Focus on the Family and Turning Point USA have joined the list. Should we be surprised? No. We warned years ago that the SPLC's march against biblical truth wouldn't stop in Washington -- it would reach into churches, homes, and anyone who dared to uphold God's design for family and sexuality.
And now, the warnings are coming true! The enemy is using any tool he can to silence other brothers and sisters in Christ. We have to stand up and stand together right now. Don't think it will stop here -- they will keep coming until they have silenced the voice of every Bible-believing Christian.
As FRC President Tony Perkins said recently: "There is no appeasing evil." Staying silent or softening truth does not spare us -- it only emboldens those who seek to erase it.
And the stakes are growing.
Just last week, the U.S. Supreme Court delivered a crucial victory for religious liberty -- ruling that Catholic Charities in Wisconsin cannot be stripped of tax exemptions for holding biblical beliefs. This should never have been in question. But it shows how far some are willing to go to punish Christians for simply living out their faith.
This isn't about politics -- it's about whether you stand on the Word of God. And if you do, the hounds of hell will start tracking you. But that is why we are here. You are not alone.
That's why FRC has launched a national petition urging the Department of Justice to investigate the SPLC's radical influence on our federal government. And this month -- during Pride Month -- we're planning to deliver this petition directly to the DOJ.
Now is the time to take a stand.
Newly released FBI files -- reported just days ago by The Washington Times -- reveal that the Biden administration's targeting of Catholic groups was far more extensive than previously known. FBI leadership coordinated with field offices to investigate devout Catholic communities, relying on SPLC classifications and labeling them as potential domestic terrorists.
This is religious profiling -- fueled by the SPLC and embraced by federal agencies.
Enough is enough.
Add your name before we deliver the petition this month!
We, the undersigned, urge the U.S. Department of Justice to immediately sever all ties with the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) and formally renounce its influence on federal law enforcement and public policy decisions. The SPLC is a Leftist aligned organization that has a long and well-documented history of smearing faith-based organizations, mischaracterizing mainstream Christian and conservative groups as "hate groups," and inciting division and violence in our country.
Furthermore, we call on the DOJ to investigate the SPLC's documented role in influencing federal agencies under previous administrations, including its contributions to domestic terrorism threat assessments and its coordination with government entities to silence political opponents. The American people deserve transparency and accountability to ensure that extremist organizations are not weaponized against citizens of faith.
We respectfully request that your office take immediate steps to protect religious liberty, uphold the integrity of the DOJ, and prevent further abuse of federal power.

P.S. The Supreme Court's ruling in defense of Catholic Charities is a powerful reminder: religious freedom can be upheld when Christians take a stand. That's why we're delivering this petition to the DOJ during Pride Month. Will your name be on it? Sign today!
