Last WeekLast week on the floor, the Senate confirmed seven of President Trump’s nominees:
Senate committees also started releasing their proposed versions of President Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill” to cut taxes and spending, build the border wall, and rebuild America’s national defense. Conservative SpotlightERIC SCHMITT — Sen. Eric Schmitt (R-MO) announced that he will co-chair a Judiciary Committee hearing about former President Joe Biden’s mental incapacity — and who was really in charge during those four dangerous years. "The goal,” Schmitt told Fox Business, “is to get to the bottom of what actually happened, who knew what and when, and who had their finger on the nuclear arsenal.” Schmitt’s hearing on the Silent Coup is scheduled for June 18. MIKE LEE — Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT), Chairman of the Energy and Natural Resources Committee, says he wants public lands reform in the “Big Beautiful Bill.” This is a huge issue out west. The federal government owns more than 60% of the land in Utah, Idaho, and Nevada. These are all fast-growing states whose economies have been held back by Deep State climate bullies for too long. RICK SCOTT — Congratulations to Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) on his work to protect the University of Florida from a terrible, left-wing candidate to be the school’s new president. You may have heard about Santa Ono, a woke academic with a history of divisive stands on DEI, affirmative action, climate change, and more. He just came this close to taking the reins of the Sunshine State’s flagship university. Thanks to a conservative coalition led by Sen. Scott, Rep. Byron Donalds, Donald Trump, Jr., and crusading journalist Christopher Rufo, the good guys won this fight. This Week
