Last month, the U.S. House passed a budget bill that will slash Medicaid funding and defund Planned Parenthood. Now this bill goes to the Senate.

Here's what's at stake, John.

🧑‍⚕️ Access to essential care: Over 1.1 million patients will be denied care if Planned Parenthood is defunded. It would force nearly 200 health centers across the country to shut down.

💵 Medicaid is critical to ensuring that everybody, regardless of income, can receive health care without paying exorbitant out-of-pocket expenses.

🏥 Over half of all Planned Parenthood patients rely on Medicaid. If access to a Planned Parenthood clinic is gone and Medicaid funding is cut—millions of communities across the country will be without health coverage or care. This includes access to birth control, prenatal and postpartum care, STI screenings, cancer screenings, and maternal health services.

It's critical that your senators vote NO on the budget. Millions of people will lose health care coverage if Medicaid is slashed.
