** JUNE 08
------------------------------------------------------------

Welcome to this week’s edition of the HYR newsletter, !

Western blue states were literally on fire this past week, and both events were tied to illegal immigration. The national immigration debate reached a breaking point in Los Angeles, as riots and chaos engulfed the city. An antisemitic attack involving Molotov cocktails rocked the city of Boulder.

In Washington, President Trump’s honeymoon with Elon Musk ended in an ugly and very public fashion–but the feud didn’t stop his Cabinet from making overtures on the culture war front.

In Texas, the state has ended in-state tuition for illegal immigrants.

We break it down below.

** LA LA Land Lawlessness
------------------------------------------------------------

Early this week ICE raids in LA quickly escalated as a business owner defiantly locked federal agents in his building mid-raid; the situation ultimately required FBI reinforcements. Chaos and rioting quickly broke out around the city as illegal aliens physically began aggressively interfering with other deportation raids–in one instance, even attempting to kill federal agents ([link removed]) .

Exploding munitions, tear gas ([link removed]) , and intentionally set fires ([link removed]) were just some of the scenes from LA–and not on a Hollywood movie set either. Photos of illegal aliens proudly waving flags ([link removed]) (observant readers will notice the “flagpole” here is a mop handle) of their home nations abounded–the same countries they’re fighting tooth and nail to avoid being forcibly returned to.

President Trump declared a national emergency early in his term to address the “invasion” of our country, a word the establishment media refuses to use. To retort–what word should you use to describe photos of masked military aged males illegally in the US, waving flags of foreign nations, as the second most populous city in the country burns around them? The media of course is running the same 2020-riots talking point: the riots are “mostly peaceful.” ([link removed])

President Trump ordered the National Guard to LA over the weekend to quell the riots. One thing’s for certain—California is getting exactly what it voted for.

** Firebombing in Boulder
------------------------------------------------------------

Mohamad Soliman, an illegal alien and extremist Palestinian sympathizer, threw several Molotov cocktails at a group of Jewish people peacefully marching in support of Israel in Boulder Colorado. The attack left a dozen people seriously injured, including an 88-year old Holocaust survivor. Fortunately all the victims will survive, albeit with varying degrees of severe burns. Ironically, the woman who survived both the holocaust and now a domestic terror attack is a supporter of HIAS ([link removed]) (Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society), a political group suing the White House to continue unfettered mass immigration and “refugee” resettlement–a horrific instance of misguided liberal immigration policy/activism quite literally blowing up in her face.

Soliman was charged with, among other things, a federal hate crime two days ago, which carries a maximum sentence of life in prison. Soliman’s family (all of them also in the country illegally) is reportedly likely to be deported; USA Today used the targeted violent attack ([link removed]) to insist you should sympathize with Soliman’s daughter–she didn’t firebomb anybody (only her dad did) and had aspirations to be a nurse. Pundits on CBS took to the airwaves ([link removed]) to argue the Soliman family has a valid case for an asylum claim. If an antisemitic firebombing attack doesn’t warrant deportation, what does to the “experts” on the left?

** President Trump v. Elon: The Falling-out Nobody Wanted
------------------------------------------------------------

We won’t delve too much into the issue, it’s been covered ad-nauseum all week. A few thoughts though:
* Powerful, rich men with big personalities are just as (if not more so) inclined to strong disagreements on points of political policy as anybody else.
* Elon’s accusation of Trump being on the Epstein list was not only immediately debunked ([link removed]) by Epstein’s lawyer, but begs the question–if that was true, why did Elon not only allow President Trump to watch his kid ([link removed]) , but bankroll his campaign to the tune of $250M?
* In the span of two days, the media’s characterization of Elon went from “ketamine addicted fascist advisor to the President on ruining Americans’ lives” to “humanitarian futuristic genius and environmentalist lobs credible accusation of pedophilia against Trump.”
* On the topic of consistency, while Elon and DOGE have done great work–it’s never a good idea to blindly idolize ([link removed]) political figures; humans are inherently flawed and we all have our warts. Being consistent in one’s policy beliefs inevitably leads to disagreement even with family, friends, and the politically like minded.
* During his Twitter tirade Elon floated the idea of forming a third political party–you don’t need to look at Europe or other countries oversaturated with political parties to know that’s a bad idea ([link removed]) .

** New Naval Names
------------------------------------------------------------

The Navy, at Def. Sec. Hegseth’s instruction will be renaming (or is considering renaming) several ships in their fleet. The most notable revelation from the documents obtained by CBS ([link removed]) is that the Navy will decidedly be rebranding the USNS Harvey Milk.

The new title has not yet been decided, but the move was a source of outrage to the left and decried by numerous high profile Democrat politicians. For those unaware, Harvey Milk was a celebrated gay rights activist. But what the Nancy Pelosi’s and Wes Moore’s (Democrat Governor of Maryland and rumored Presidential candidate for 2028) conveniently gloss over is thatMilk was sleeping with 3 13-year old boys as a 33 year old man–and interfered in the custody case of a 6 year old boy who was ultimately killed by murder-suicide at the hands of cult leader Jim Jones ([link removed]) .

Republicans get angry when monuments and tributes to our founding fathers are ripped down; modern day Democrats get angry when you strip the name of a pedophile from a Naval vessel.

CBS also pearl clutched over the USNS Ruth Bader Ginsburg (a named that surely strikes fear in the hearts of our enemies) is being targeted for renaming; they also conveniently buried the lede at the bottom of the article that other ships under consideration are currently named after Confederate military figures–because Hegseth’s Pentagon can only be homophobic, not measured or “anti-racist.”

** In Other News
------------------------------------------------------------

* Democrats are celebrating the return of Kilmar Garcia as a win for “due process,” too bad he’ll be charged with human trafficking 100+ people ([link removed]) the minute he steps off the plane–and still go back to El Salvador when his sentence is over.
* Former Biden Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre announced her intent to leave the Democrat party, and (taking a literal page from Jake Tapper’s book) publish a tell-all accounting of the Biden White House. Notable that Jean-Pierre was only escalated to the role of Press Secretary because she checked off all the identity politics boxes (black, lesbian, woman) the Biden administration wanted–an entertaining but surprising betrayal of trust.
* Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs vetoed a bill banning the purchase of farm land by the Chinese Communist Party in close proximity to military bases–why?
* Democrats have sunk $20M into understanding their failures to connect to young male voters–their findings are predictably hilarious ([link removed])
* HYR favorite Sen. John Kennedy [R-LA] brutally and hilariously called out an expert witness ([link removed]) over her hypocritical stance on judicial injunctions at a Senate hearing this week.
* Trump is a quote machine ([link removed]) .

* Wait–we’ve been giving non-citizens small business loans this entire time ([link removed]) ?

** This Week in Texas
------------------------------------------------------------

Mark McCaig

The Texas Voice

The long-controversial practice of allowing illegal immigrants to receive in-state tuition rates at Texas public universities will be coming to an end as a result of an agreement reached between state and federal officials.

“In-state tuition for illegal immigrants has finally come to an end in Texas—something I strongly welcome after filing legislation to end this practice for several sessions. With a scarcity of state dollars and growing demands, we must ensure every Texas tax dollar is deployed for the greatest benefit. This is a long-overdue win for the rule of law, fiscal responsibility, and Texas taxpayers,” said State Senator Brandon Creighton ([link removed]) , the Chairman of the State Senate Education Committee.

“I want to thank President Donald J. Trump for taking bold action by launching a lawsuit to end in-state tuition for illegal immigrants in Texas. This is a long-overdue move to restore fairness and uphold the rule of law in our state. Texas taxpayers should not be footing the bill to subsidize those who entered our country illegally — especially when many legal residents and citizens struggle to afford college themselves,” said State Representative Pat Curry ([link removed]) .
