The unleashing of the National Guard on immigrant communities and U.S. citizens in Los Angeles is not about safety. It’s about power. It’s about fear. It’s about targeting Black and Brown communities—again.

Let’s be clear: this is not just politics. This is a civil war on our freedoms. A battle over who gets to belong. And today, they are coming for Los Angeles. Tomorrow, anything is possible.

When Trump sends troops into neighborhoods under the false guise of “security,” he is reviving the ugliest chapters of American history—when government power was used to break communities instead of build them. This is a violent escalation of a long campaign of lies and scapegoating, all designed to distract, divide, and dominate.

And once again, it is Black women in leadership—leaders like Mayor Karen Bass—who are under direct attack.

PowerPAC stands with Mayor Bass, with the immigrant families of Los Angeles, and with every community under siege by a regime that uses government like a weapon and racism like a rallying cry.

We know what this is. We've seen it before. From the Redress and Reparations movements to Jesse Jackson’s campaigns, from Watsonville to Oakland—we have spent decades building multiracial coalitions to confront abuse of power and protect our communities.

Now, we must take the next step forward—a bold, massive step to stop the downward spiral we’re in. Because this will not stop in L.A. It will spread.

We need hope. We need good change. We need real change.

And we need you with us.
