Hate Crimes Survey

Hate crimes are on the rise across the country. Will you take my survey to let me know what you think we should do to stop this disturbing trend?

TAKE MARK'S SURVEY

Team,

We have a serious and growing problem in our country. Over the past several years, we have seen an alarming increase in the number of hate crimes across the nation. It's despicable — and too often, these hate crimes go unreported and there aren't enough resources to help the victims.

That's why I've joined my Senate colleagues in introducing the NO HATE Act. It's a bipartisan piece of legislation that would do a lot to help combat the recent surge in hate crimes, including:

  • Improving reporting of hate crimes by allowing law enforcement to report detailed information about them to the FBI
  • Encouraging law enforcement training so that officers know how to identify and address hate crimes
  • Helping states establish hotlines to collect information about hate crimes and direct victims and witnesses to law enforcement and support services
  • Allowing judges to require community service or education for individuals convicted under federal hate crimes laws

We owe it to the victims of hate crimes everywhere to do everything we can to stamp out the voices of hatred that have been promoting violence against Jews, Muslims, immigrants, the LGBTQ community, and other vulnerable Americans. The NO HATE Act is an important step toward that goal.

But I want to hear from you, too. Will you take my survey and let me know what you think about the recent surge in hate crimes, and what we should do to stop it?

Thanks,
Mark
