The GOP is pushing a budget that would gut Medicaid and slash SNAP—programs that help millions of working people, including hundreds of thousands of Latino families in Arizona, Colorado, and Texas. Those service cuts, when paired with Trump’s scattershot tariffs, will impose added costs of $1,500 on an average worker in traditional Latino industries like construction, food service, and healthcare. And adding insult to injury, congressional Republicans are making all those cuts in order to renew and expand the Trump tax cuts that overwhelmingly benefit the ultra-rich.[1]

In response, we launched a bilingual ad campaign on Spanish-language radio and across digital platforms, calling out GOP Reps. Ciscomani, De La Cruz, and Hurd for voting to betray the very people they represent.

These districts have some of the highest numbers in the nation of Latino workers relying on Medicaid and SNAP, and now their own members of Congress are voting to take those benefits away. We’re naming names. And it’s working.

But the clock is ticking. The Senate plans to vote this month on their billionaire budget and tax scam—and we need to keep the pressure on.
