We warned Republicans that the “one big beautiful bill” would cost lives. But a new report confirms the human toll will be staggering.

If we don’t stop the Republican budget bill, a study from Yale and the University of Pennsylvania found 51,000 Americans will die every year from lost healthcare coverage and food aid and even lower nursing home standards.

These aren’t data points – they’re lives. And every one worth fighting for.

My Senate colleague, Joni Ernst, recently pointed out that death is inevitable. But this bill would actively expedite it, especially for seniors, low-income families and other vulnerable groups.
