I swore an oath to the Constitution and have a duty to conduct oversight over Trump’s detention facilities. Recently, I made a surprise visit to the Eloy Detention Center in Arizona, a place where many Dreamers (people who have been here their whole lives and who our government already committed to protect) are being held in inhumane conditions. I want to tell you about what I saw.

Overlooked medical issues. Moldy cells. Cruel and dehumanizing treatment. It sickens me, and those inside asked me to share their stories.

This administration is breaking laws, violating the Constitution, defying Supreme Court orders, and turning our country into a full-blown authoritarian regime. I’m not going to sit back and watch while they do it -- I’m fighting back.
