Utilizing protests against ICE raids in LA as his justification, Trump just took control of the California National guard without the consent of California’s governor, the first time this has happened since 1965.

The President has crossed the Rubicon - these troops will be used to arrest and detain American citizens.

What we are witnessing is a Fort Sumter moment and there’s no telling how much further this situation may escalate over the coming hours.

But don’t let events like this military deployment deter you, though we are going to have to fight to keep it, we still have a democracy .
