And just days later, he tried to justify it, claiming that his vote was about protecting “our children’s future.” Let’s be clear: If Zinke actually cared about Montana’s children, he wouldn’t have voted to threaten coverage for 40% of kids across the state. He wouldn’t have voted to shutter rural hospitals. And he wouldn’t have voted to force Montanans with private insurance to pay even more for their health care. But he did, John. Because that’s exactly what Donald Trump and his billionaire allies demanded of him.
