The budget package passed by House Republicans would be a disaster for hundreds of millions of Americans, but especially for immigrants and their communities.

This so-called “Big Beautiful Bill” will cut vital aid programs, penalize states for helping immigrants, and allocate billions of dollars to Trump’s cruel mass deportation agenda.

The bill is now headed for the Senate, and if passed, it would:

* Exclude 4.5 million citizen and legal resident children from the Child Tax Credit just because one of their parents doesn’t have a Social Security number.
* Block immigrants from accessing Medicare benefits, even if they’ve paid taxes for years.
* Jack up fees for families who are trying to come here legally or reunite with their children.
* Deny immigrants access to life-saving health care.
* Funnel hundreds of billions of our tax dollars into building an expanded deportation system, including more detention centers.

This bill goes directly against our country’s foundational values of freedom, dignity, and opportunity for all. Immigrant families are part of the fabric of our communities. They raise children, pay taxes, work essential jobs, and deserve respect — not punishment. We must demand that the Senate must reject this budget bill and start over.

We’re calling on the Senate to stand up for our democracy by voting no on this bill and refusing to sell out our immigrant neighbors for tax breaks or political points.
