Campaign for National Parks
World Ocean Day

Supporter, this World Ocean Day we're celebrating the incredible array of unique coastal and marine habitats that make our waters some of the richest coastal waters on the planet.

Now, you might be asking yourself; why is a charity dedicated to securing the future of National Parks celebrating the sea? It's all to do with our exciting new work to campaign for the UK’s first designated National Marine Parks; National Parks at land, coast and sea.

DIVE INTO OUR WORK
swimmers
National Marine Parks are expansive areas of sea, coast and land; seascapes of national importance. The aim of a National Marine Park is to connect people with the sea. Like a National Park on land, their purpose is to enhance wildlife, conserve cultural heritage and promote public understanding, access and enjoyment. There is also a crucial role in supporting climate resilience and regeneration of coastal communities.

HOW WE'RE MAKING NATIONAL MARINE PARKS A REALITY

Through our work we are working to:

  • Increase awareness, appetite and interest in National Marine Parks through our National Marine Park Alliance.
  • Secure political support for progressing National Marine Parks through our newly-established National Marine Park Political Champions network.
  • Further our collective understanding on how National Marine Parks could deliver for nature and communities by collating evidence and conducting new research.

SUPPORT NATIONAL MARINE PARKS

We're working hard to bring people together from across the UK and secure a future for National Marine Parks where habitats are protected, climate resilience is supported and coastal communities are regenerated, but we need your help.

Our ambitions are big, but our funding is limited. We rely on donations from our supporters to undertake this vital work long-term. Will you donate today and help us secure the future of National Marine Parks?

YES I'LL DONATE
