John,
We shouldn't have to argue that in 2020, women deserve to be paid the same amount as their male coworkers.
Yet, last year Kansas women only made 77 cents for every dollar their male coworkers did. But the gap is even wider for women of color. Black women earned 61 cents. Native American women earned 58 cents. And Latina women only earned 53 cents.
We need to do better for women in the workplace.
If you agree it’s time for change, add your name and join me in the fight for equal pay in the workplace.

Earlier last week, we remembered the anniversary of when President John F. Kennedy signed the Equal Pay Act -- one of the first major steps toward ensuring women across the country are valued in the workplace.
However, decades later, employers continue to find ways to underpay and undervalue women in the workplace. And we are still fighting for equal pay for equal work.
Until women are guaranteed to make the same amount as their male coworkers with the same experience and skills, I will be fighting for equal pay.
If you're with me, add your name today.
