Here’s something that’s flown under the radar: The Trump Administration has proposed a 25% cut to NASA in what would be the largest-scale attack on the agency in history.

Not only is this deeply damaging to the scientific community and our democracy, it’s personal to me: In 2009, I was chosen by President Obama to serve as the NASA Chief of Staff.

Leading NASA was nothing like I’m seeing in Congress today. People of all political backgrounds put their pride and differences aside to move the country forward.

Now, the Trump agenda is poised to set back NASA back by decades by:

❌ Terminating critical missions and risk our scientific leadership in the US and abroad
❌ Scaling back the workforce and harming our ability to grow the future in STEM
❌ Harming our ability to monitor climate hazards including devastating wildfires

I’m pushing back hard against these cuts not only to NASA, but to critical programs including Medicaid and SNAP. But it’s nearly impossible to reverse this damage without control of the House majority.

I’m in a uniquely vulnerable position as one of the only Democrats to flip a red seat – and it’s made me a target. Can I count on your support to keep me fighting for you with $3 today?
