Well, folks, we all knew this was coming.

It’s time to say good riddance to Donald Trump and Elon Musk’s terrible bromance.

Sure, I know we’ve found their feud a bit amusing, but I think we ought to reflect on how ridiculous this makes us look on the world stage – the president of the United States and the world’s richest man are in a public dispute.

This kind of fight makes America look ridiculous. It’s ugly. It’s petty. And it weakens our position in the world and makes us less safe, too.

I also can’t help but also think about the nearly 60,000 federal employees – many of them Virginians – who have had their jobs cut because of this bromance. What a disgrace.

We have to do better.

We have to bring back accountability. Accountability for ridiculous, dangerous pettiness from our country’s leader. Accountability for our ex-unelected co-president that slashed thousands upon thousands of federal jobs. Accountability for the rampant corruption.

And the best way we can bring back accountability is by taking back the majority in the Senate – and that starts with holding seats like mine.

So I’m asking: will you pitch in today to my reelection campaign so we can flip the Senate for Democrats and hold the Trump administration accountable for this dangerous chaos?
