Hey! It's Deb.
I’m emailing because today is National Trails Day, a celebration of our beloved hiking trails and the stewards who care for them.
Each of us has a responsibility to preserve our air, water, and natural landscapes so they can be enjoyed by future generations. It’s what I’ve fought for in Congress, as a former Secretary of the Interior, and what I’ll do as the next governor of New Mexico.

I’m incredibly proud that we added hundreds more miles to the National Trails System during my time leading the Department of the Interior. Protecting our trails ensures that families today and in future generations get to enjoy these breathtaking landscapes together. I still cherish the memories I made hiking with my dad when I was a young girl. To this day, I never pass up an opportunity to enjoy the trails here in New Mexico and all across the country.

Much like hiking across our nation’s beloved trails, our campaign for a fairer New Mexico will be a challenging journey. I have no doubt we’ll face some tough climbs along the way, but I know we can brave them together by lacing up our boots and working as a team. That’s why, before you hit the trails or head outdoors today, I have to ask:
See you out there,
Deb
