Redistricting Victory

This week, the Commissioners' Court finally made a decision on redistricting and voted to approve a new map, Map 7. This was a historic victory for conservative governance in Tarrant County and will help our movement for years to come. We owe many thanks to County Judge O'Hare and to Commissioners Ramirez and Krause for demonstrating strong, conservative leadership.

We also owe many thanks to all of you who read our call for public comment and testimony at the Commissioners Court and did your part to show support for redistricting. The support from conservatives was overwhelming and was obvious to anyone who watched the Court meeting this week. We couldn't have done it without you!

As predicted, the fight has now gone to the courts, with Democrats suing almost immediately after redistricting was approved.

O'Hare put out a statement on the redistricting result following the vote. You can read his statement by clicking HERE.

Tinderholt Running for Commissioner

With the redistricting vote passed and the Texas House adjourned, Representative Tony Tinderholt (HD94) has announced his retirement from the Texas House and that he intends to run for Commissioner Precinct 2 against Alisa Simmons. You can read his press release HERE.

Tinderholt and Simmons have faced off before, with Simmons running as the Democratic candidate for HD94 against Tinderholt. That election resulted in a landslide victory for Tinderholt. Hopefully, we will be able to say the same next year! Tinderholt has been endorsed by every Republican State Representative in Tarrant County. You can find proof of that HERE.

Grassroots activist Cheryl Bean, who ran for the Texas House in District 97, announced that she intends to run to replace Tony Tinderholt in the State Legislature. To date, she is the only Republican to announce for the seat. Cheryl has already received endorsements from Sheriff Bill Waybourn, Tax Assessor-Collector Rick Barnes, State Rep Nate Schatzline, and more.

In-State Tuition for Illegals

For a decade, legislation has been filed in the Texas Legislature to ban in-state tuition for illegals. The legislation has never passed, including in the session that just concluded.

However, Attorney General Ken Paxton found a way to end in-state tuition for illegals. He worked with the Trump Administration and the DOJ to settle a DOJ lawsuit against Texas regarding tuition for illegals, so that the practice would end in the state.

After ten years of failure by the legislature to end this practice, AG Paxton and the Trump Administration have gotten it done. Big thanks to them! You can read AG Paxton's Press Release HERE.

The Big Beautiful Bill

Late this week, a dust-up between Elon Musk and President Trump dominated the news cycle. Elon, who opposes the Big Beautiful Bill, has attacked Trump relentlessly, going so far as to accuse him of working with Epstein.

Steve Bannon has highlighted the divide between the tech-right and the MAGA-right since last year, predicting that there would be a confrontation between the two, and it appears to have come. Better now than before the 2026 elections!

Trump's Big Beautiful Bill is largely a campaign priorities bill, focusing on issues like funding for deportations. It will also extend the 2017 Trump tax cuts, which are set to expire if the bill isn't passed. If you want to keep the Trump tax cuts, call your Senators and tell them to vote for the bill!

Human Events has a great breakdown of what's in the Bill and why Congress must pass it in order for President Trump to implement his agenda, especially on mass deportations. You can read their article HERE.
